ABOUT ME
An extremely passionate women’s footwear designer with an educational background in sciences and a love for creating comfortable ‘art for the feet’. Attending the prestigious London College of Fashion and Arsutoria School in Milan enabled the acquisition of designing and technical skills, which were then applied and honed through my work experience as a footwear designer in Milan, Naples, London and Athens, Greece. I constantly strive to come up with original designs and shapes, and I love experimenting with various colourways and materials. With a strong consumer awareness, my personal design style leans more towards "quirky but elegant" shoes, and I have the aptitude to adjust my designs to fit those of a brand's DNA.
Having always been an animal lover and nature enthusiast, biology is one of my biggest sources of creative inspiration, and through my designs I create stories and raise awareness about the unknowns of biology.
FROM CONCEPT TO PRODUCT
The creations of all of my footwear collections start with an original inspirational idea, which I depict by a moodboard of pictures, drawings and material swatches. At the design development stage, I sketch all the ideas I have in my head in order to come up with a collection, and at the material/colour selection stage is where the collection comes into life. By making footwear patterns and its paper tests, each design gets a 3D form, a few steps before it is finally materialised into a real-life shoe
